Four Biblical Reasons for the Caught-Up
Today, in answering your question: “Why the Rapture is so Important to the Church,” I will highlight four biblical reasons?
First, Jesus Christ through the execution of the Caught-Away, he will remove stealthy all the Believers from the earth. Second, at present, there’s a vacancy in heaven.
Third, the rapture is Christ’s final visual celebration and public declaration of triumph over all his enemies. Finally, Christ promised that he would return for us. The Taken is the fulfillment of his promise.
Stealth Removal of All Believers
Seeing that the Second Advent of Jesus Christ will not be a happy one, he will remove stealthy all Believers from the earth before he makes his appearance. Therefore, he executes this through the Caught-Away. Then we return to earth with him at his second coming.
Subsequently, the Bible tells us:
“To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints,” (1 Thessalonians 3:13)
When did “all his saints” go to be with Christ? Certainly not at death! By the time of the rapture, all the saints would not have died. Some of us will still be alive and going about our daily routine.
However, the Lord will extract all Believers, via the rapture, from Adam up to the point when Michael sounds the trumpet of God to meet him in the sky.
Why the Rapture Includes Both
All the saints include both those who had died and those alive at that time. They will be with him when he returns.
The prophets of the Lord spoke of it.
“And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,” (Jude 1:14).
Then all of us will return together with Christ and his heavenly host. So, one function of the Caught-Up is to quietly and quickly remove Believers from the earth before the return of Jesus Christ.
As before, the following is an excerpt from my new book: “The Golden Candlestick – The Seven Spirits of God”.
There’s a Vacancy in Heaven
“However, there is another motivation for the rapture. There is a vacancy in heaven. One-thirds of its angels are expelled onto the earth; therefore, replacement is necessary.
“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him” (Revelation 12:9).
Therefore, we read that the tail of the dragon “… drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born” (Revelation 12:4).
So we observe that the Church of Christ fills this role. Lucifer knows the splendor of his time in heaven; consequently, his plan is to prevent us from getting there.
Why the Rapture Occurs Before His Coming
Let’s take our theology directly from the Bible. Christ Jesus will only return physically to earth once: at his Second Advent. The rapture is not His second coming. Please don’t confuse them. It is related to the rapture but one precedes the other. They are distinct with different events.
Christ has returned to earth already. He came back spiritually first at Pentecost and subsequently every time one of his Believers receives his Spirit. Jesus is here now. He is in you.
If we adhere to the Bible’s teachings there is only one version of the rapture. And by so doing, we will also supremely understand the Great Tribulation which scripturally must precede it.”[1]
What is the Importance of the Rapture?
“Christ Jesus is King of kings. He is Lord of lords. The rapture is his final visual celebration and public declaration of triumph over all his enemies, but especially over Satan and death.
He has demonstrated that for himself he has conquered both death and hell. He is the first and only person to return from them.
Now what he has done for himself he must similarly and publicly demonstrate that he can achieve for all those who believe that he is the only begotten Son of God.
And namely to authenticate for them that now he has the keys of hell and of death and therefore the ability to grant eternal life to his believers. He triumph over all.
Why the Rapture is Significant?
Therefore, we shall recognize that the rapture is the ultimate manifestation of Christ’s victory over Satan, hell, the grave, and death. After it, these will hold no power over humanity. Christ would have visibly conquered them.
As a result, after the rapture the inhabitants of the earth will be tormented. Those left on earth after it will attempt suicide but not achieve it.
They will ask others to murder them and despite their once effective methods of death now they will fail.
This is the sad times Jesus spoke of while he was on the cross.
“But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children” (Luke 23:28).[2]
The Rapture Renders Death Powerless
““For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck”, (Luke 23:29).
In other words, it would have been better if you didn’t have children who will experience such horror.
People will shoot themselves in the head but not die. They will cast themselves from great heights but still live. They cannot die. There will be no more death.
“The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law” (1 Corinthians 15:56).
“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57).”[3]
Conclusion
The rapture will change the world forever. It’ll never be the same. Why? Because all the enemies of Jesus Christ will be subdued, then the experiences of the inhabitants of earth will be different.
There will be no death. This is when eternity starts for us. We will step into eternity at the rapture. For those who will experience it; bliss with Christ, but for those who didn’t; damnation with Satan forever.
Secure your eternity today. Believe this word that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. He died for you and his blood has purged away all your past sins, (Romans 3:25).
Today, confess your present-sins to him and he will cleanse you of them, (1 John 1:9). Accept him as Lord of your life. Believe that the Lord God sent him. Accept and believe on his name: Jesus Christ for he is your Savior.
Therefore, make a decision to obey and keep his words today. Don’t wait. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone.
