Apostle Peter and John were threatened not to teach or speak in the name of Jesus Christ.

Students of the Word, let me ask you, is this an encounter with the spirit of the antichrist?

This happened soon after they healed a man born lame.

We are in Acts Chapter four, namely at Acts 4:13-23

Peter and John had just reported to the Sanhedrin Council.

They explained by what power and name the lame man was healed.

The Council continues to interrogate them.

But why did the Council marvel at the boldness of Peter and John?

“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus” (Acts 4:13).

Whenever Jesus heals a person through a Believer there is never any doubt that such a one is healed!

“And beholding the man, which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it” (Acts 4:14).

The Council didn’t want to take a decision concerning Peter and John in their presence.

So, they asked them to step aside while they consult with each other.

“But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,” (Acts 4:15).

Why would they desire to hurt these two apostles of Jesus Christ for healing a lame man?
